Terracotta Army (Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum) — Open; Hours Shift on Nov 16
The short answer
Fully open, one ticket covers both halves of the museum — the pits (Bingmayong) and the mausoleum site park (Lishan Garden), with a free shuttle between them.
Hours on the official site
| Season | Dates | Entry hours | Halls close |
|---|---|---|---|
| Peak | Mar 16 – Nov 15 | 08:30–17:00 | 18:30 |
| Off season | Nov 16 – Mar 15 | 08:30–16:30 | 18:00 |
Ticket: CNY 120 including Lishan Garden. Real-name booking, and the official site explicitly says foreign passport holders book through the official website or WeChat account alongside Chinese visitors — no separate channel, no agency needed.
What first-time foreign visitors keep getting wrong
- The museum is two sites, not one. Most people see the pits and leave. Lishan Garden (where the actual tomb mound and the Bronze Chariot and Horse Museum sit) is included in the same CNY 120 ticket and takes about 1.5 hours.
- The date that matters now: November 16. Off-season hours kick in — last entry moves a half hour earlier, and late-arriving tour traffic concentrates in the morning.
- Book ahead anyway. Real-name time-slot reservation is mandatory; same-day afternoon slots are the first to go in peak season.
